Ceramic Ladies

I lovingly depict bumpy, lumpy, curvy female forms as I am fascinated by what is viewed as beautiful in our culture. Wild jewelry and sagging breasts are present in many of my works as I am interested in challenging the notion that youth is beauty; my definition is a multicultural and multi generational one. The private and introspective nature of both painting and ceramic sculpting allows me to delve into challenging human experiences and relationships, my own past, and the various communities I’ve been a part of, observed, and studied.
