Ceramic Heads
As the result of a figurative sculpture course I recently participated in at Penland School of Crafts, I have discovered the powerful potential of sculpting heads as a vehicle for exploring human emotion. I address the private experience of reflection and contemplation through presenting faces that express a range of universally charged experiences such as aging, anguish, disappointment, and longing.
